Debian
------

  apt-get install mercurial

Red Hat/Centos
--------------

  yum install mercurial

Setup
-----

Windows
=======

Note: The Mercurial web site suggests using
:doc:`../python/distutils/easy-install` but this depends on having the Visual
C++ compiler installed.

Download
--------

Download ``Mercurial-0.9.5.exe`` from
http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/index.cgi/BinaryPackages

Install
-------

Run the installer, I installed to:

::

  C:\tools\Mercurial\

If you tick the box, ``C:\\tools\\Mercurial`` is added to the ``Path``
environment variable.
