Downloaded geronimo-jetty6-jee5-2.0.1-bin.zip from http://geronimo.apache.org/downloads.html.

I extracted to:

C:\tools\geronimo-jetty6-jee5-2.0.1\

To start the server from a command prompt. cd into the bin folder:

geronimo.bat start

To stop the server from a command prompt:

geronimo.bat stop
