Downloaded scons-1.2.0.zip from http://www.scons.org/download.php

Extract the archive to a temporary folder and run the python install command:

cd scons-1.2.0
python setup.py install

Note: You might like to create a virtual environment for SCons…

mkdir temp
cd temp
unzip /cygdrive/c/download/scons/scons-0.96.94.zip
cd scons-0.96.94/
python setup.py install
scons
